Gammoth Gives Back

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

Continuing on with our “Getting to Know Gammoth” theme from last week with Sydney’s (our Gammoth mascot) video, we want to let you know that we do more than just sell cell phone accessories, Bluetooth products, GPS navigation and signal solutions … we also give back to the community.  And although we are located in Madison, Wis., we strive to give back to communities throughout the country.

 Gammoth Gives Back

At the beginning of this year Gammoth wanted to “give back” to students in area schools.  Gammoth contacted the Web site DonorsChoose.org where the concept is “Teachers ask.  You choose.  Students learn.”  Mrs. Y, a teacher at an elementary school in Wisconsin, asked for the funding of the “GPS, Where Art Thou?” project so her students could learn latitude, longitude, mapping skills and directionality.  Gammoth wanted to help … especially because it involved something we love — GPS!

The Outcome

We recently received a “Thank You” letter from many students at the elementary school along with their very special teacher Mrs. Y, who is trying to teach her students real life lessons with up-to-date technology that they will most certainly carry with them for the rest of their lives.  Gammoth is proud to be involved in fulfilling Mrs. Y’s request for her classroom project “GPS, Where Art Thou?” and will continue to give back to communities through the country.
