Palm Launches Unlocked Centro — Should Be A Hit?

We just got word that Palm is launching an unlocked Palm Centro for GSM.  This little sidekick has all of the same specs as AT&T’s model, but sports a white/gray color scheme as opposed to AT&T’s white/lime green color scheme.  According to Engadget, the carrier-free phone will also be “nabbing a version of Google Maps with its “My Location” feature, available for download today.

Here at Gammoth we are able to track what products people are searching for in order to have a better understanding of our market.  Recently, we have noticed that the Unlocked Palm Centro has been getting a lot of views and we figured we would give you, our customers, an insider look at the Palm Centro.  We will show you up close video footage of this trendy phone and show you all that it has to offer.

Palm Centro: Features

In addition to being able to use the Palm Centro on any GSM carrier worldwide, it also comes with a wide array of features packed in such as:

To access your email on the Palm Centro, there are a few options. VersaMail email application has built in support for Microsoft’s Direct Push Technology for real-time synchronization with Microsoft Exchange Server. VersaMail also supports POP and IMAP email accounts for AOL, Apple.Mac, Gmail and Yahoo.

The Palm Centro also comes with PocketTunes Deluxe Edition, allowing you to listen to MP3 and DRM protected music files. And don’t forget that your Palm Centro is equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera with 2x zoom and video recording capabilities. The battery is rated for 3 hours of continuous talk, but many users have experienced 4-5 hours on a single charge.
