Making an Entrance: Jawbone 2

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

With the success of the original Jawbone Bluetooth headset, there was bound to be another rugged, industrial looking headset in the making.  And here it is … the Jawbone 2.  The new model just got through FCC’s bonds with flying colors, and is a little bit smaller than that of the old model.  It is estimated to be under 2 cm wide and slightly less bulky.  Take a look at the older model and make the comparison ….

Take a look at the old Jawbone design, features and specs and hopefully the new Jawbone 2 will surpass these high expectations …

Original Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth Headset: Overall Design

The Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth headset is one of the few elegantly designed Bluetooth headsets that fits comfortably, has superior sound quality and is very competitively priced.  Packaged with 4 earbuds, 4 ergonomically designed earloops, a wall charger and USB cable, this Bluetooth wireless headset is the perfect solution for the mobile professional or fashionable raconteur.

Original Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth Headset: Features

Perhaps the most notable feature on the Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth Headset is the advanced Noise Shield technology, which eliminates almost all background noise using military-grade audio processing technology.  Three separate microphones and a vibration based voice sensor not only enhance your own voice, but also improve incoming audio.  As background noise and environment changes, the Jawbone will automatically adjust the volume for seamless conversations and crystal clear audio.  The lightweight headset is simple to use, with two conveniently located buttons, and can be comfortably adjusted for use on either ear.  Other features include voice-dialing support and a battery strength indicator.

Original Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth Headset: Basic Specs

  • Talk Time: Up to 6 hours with Noise Shield Technology enabled
  • Standby Time: 120 Hours
  • Range: Up to 33 feet (10 meters)
  • Compatible with Bluetooth version 1.1 or 1.2

Comparable?

Of course the two models will be comparable, but we are hoping that the durability of the Jawbone 2 will live up to the talk.  Making a call next to a smoking hot freight train with crystal clear sound can only be done in fashion you know, and Jawbone takes you there.

Jawbone Goes Wild (PG-13)

Friday, February 29th, 2008

The Jawbone Bluetooth headset has been a hot commodity since its first release in December of 2006.  Now Yves Behar, Jawbone creator, has released limited edition headsets that seem to be hotter than the original Jawbone.  Unlike the old cheese-grater, the limited edition Jawbone headsets have a sleek, stylish design.  There are three different headsets all with different themes … and this is where it gets wild.

 Limited Edition Names

I am still trying to figure out the names of the limited edition headsets.  While the name “Jawbone” is somewhat different itself, the limited edition names are just a little wild.  I think the product looks like a great and strong product and it is sure to be a hit within the world of Bluetooth.  I mean, if you want to get trashy, sweet and dirty all with one headset, no one will be stopping you this time around.
