What’s the hype about the N96?

Thursday, February 14th, 2008

Nokia will be launching its N-series phone, the N96 to the U.S. in the third-quarter. Although it is a slight upgrade from the N95, we are still trying to figure out what all the hype is about. Nokia has always been among the most innovative manufacturers for cell phones, so I expect nothing but the best from them. Although it has great entertainment purposes, the N96 has fallen slightly short of my expectations. The N96 packs 16GB of storage and has a microSD slot available. It offers a five-megapixel camera with autofocus, and records at near DVD quality video. It has a 2.8” screen with 3D games, and with Wi-Fi capabilities, you can enjoy your YouTube videos or movies on this entertaining phone. The integrated DVB-H mobile TV tuner, with a 3.5mm headphone jack, A2DP and integrated stereo speakers should make all you Nokia fanatics happy. Granted, the N96 is a great product, I’m just wondering where the QWERTY keyboard is? Bring it on Nokia, bring it on.
