The Blackberry Bold is STILL getting reviewed by AT&T, we heard the Samsung Omnia was approved by the FCC with North American 3g -again, the Nokia 5800 Express won’t be, well, anywhere until 2009… Regardless of the new phone you’re excited about, you’re almost guaranteed to have to wait for it! Here’s the latest news on the yet-to-arrive gadgets!
AT&T Boldly Takes its Time getting the Blackberry to Market
One of RIM’s CEOs eluded that part of the reason behind the Bold delays is an attempt to avoid the flurry of complaints Apple found themselves under this summer. Although the original release date was said to be sometime this summer, we’re still waiting on this Blackberry beauty, and with no revised release date, at that. Although it does look promising that the Storm and the Pearl 8220 will be released this season, the extended wait on the Bold is doubtlessly hurting RIM.
Samsung Omnia’s Almost to the U.S. - yet again
It looks like the Omnia will be coming to AT&T on the 3G network? I think? As fun as confusing news articles are, I’m ready for some definitive news on this one. When will it be here and will it be 3G capable?
Nokia 5800 Not So Express
One of Nokia’s most sell-able phones yet, the 5800 (a.k.a. the Tube) runs S60 5th Edition, making it a high powered smartphone, and also a huge 3.2-inch 640 x 360 resistive touchscreen, a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash, GPS, WiFi, 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD slot with support for 16GB cards, and comes in a variety of colors, making it one of the funnest smartphones around. The only thing? The “early next year” release date scares us for a few reasons (see above stories). Here are some pics to tide us over in the meantime!
