That’s right, folks. That’s a $99 iPhone 3G you’re seeing above. While it’s still just speculation, rumor has it that Wal-Mart plans to offer a 4GB iPhone 3G for less than $100 with a 2 year plan. Already offering super-inexpensive Blackberry Bolds (compared to what they go for at the ATT stores), a free even without rebate LG Vu, and a less than free (after rebates) Blackberry Pearl, among other great cell phone deals, Wal-Mart seems to really have expanded on a great thing here. While you will still be paying AT&T a hefty monthly fee, with the required data and web plan that goes along with buying an iPhone, this offer opens up the beauty that is the iPhone to a whole new sector, and makes the phone a little more appealing to everyone in this less-than-perfect economy.
