From new hands-free driving laws to cool new Bluetooth headset options, there’s no better time to jump on the headset bandwagon and go hands-free yourself. Here I’ll lay out some of the best, newest, and most raved- about headsets on the market and give you a peek into my personal experience with a few of them.
Jawbone 2This list would be nothing without Aliph’s new gem of a product- the Jawbone 2, which is a more streamlined and upgraded version of its original Bluetooth headset, both of which feature NoiseAssasin technology. This state-of-the-art product lies against your jawbone to sense when you are or are not talking, and uses this to protect whomever you are talking to from distracting ambient noise. It also is pretty easy on the eyes in it’s sleek black casing, but be excited for other colors to released in the future. On the pricier side of the spectrum, you’re getting what you pay for with this one - a headset that says you’re cutting-edge, technologically-aware, socially-responsible; and best of all, it says all of this clearly.
BlueAnt V1The BlueAnt V1 is another newer Bluetooth option, and this one’s state-of-the-art feature is that it is completely voice activated. You can accept a phone call, pair your phone, dial a number, along with being able to perform any of other typical headset function you use, without even the touch of a button. Like the Jawbone 2, this headset is tiny, sleek, and only has one button (if you care to use it). The base for this headset was the BlueAnt z9i, which is, in my opinion, also a great headset, and a steal for roughly forty dollars less than its brand-new counterpart. The V1 improves on the quality original by improving technology and streamlining an already-sleek look.
Argard M-11 This little guy is another newbie to the market, an exciting follow-up to the popular M-10. The M-10 is a bolt-looking headset that tucks into your ear as one of the smallest headsets on the market, and the M-11, while considerably larger than the M-10, is still an average-sized Bluetooth headset that provides stunning quality along with a smooth, fashionable look for the style-conscious consumer.
Plantronics Discovery 925 While the structure of the Plantronics Discovery 925 isn’t quite my style, I can appreciate that this headset comes in black, gold, or pink - a nice variety to choose from for a Bluetooth headset. Another nice feature- this Plantronics headset comes with a rechargeable case to keep even the busiest user connected. So as we await the arrival of these products, and revel in the options we have with those that have already been released, I can’t wait to see how these products compete as they make it to market. Regardless, I’m confident that any of these fine gadgets will live up to any other headset already out there.
