Sat-nav for Smartphones

As smartphones are becoming more and more popular, especially in the business arena, it is important that the technology keeps up with the demand.  Many smartphones include awesome features such as:  Wi-Fi, touchscreen, digital cameras, video capabilities, Bluetooth, QWERTY keyboard, music features and more.  The only thing that some of these smartphones don’t have is GPS navigation.  Instead, we have had two different products in order to communicate (phone) and get where we need to go (gps).

The Solution

Just recently, Garmin released a new product that will solve this problem.  The Garmin Mobile 10 is a memory card and sat-nav receiver combo that converts many smartphones into satellite navigation devices.  The process is quite simple too.  You simply stick the card (microSD, miniSD and SD formats) into your smartphone and the Garmin Mobile sat-nav system installs itself .  Once it is installed, it pairs with your phone through Bluetooth technology and you can plug any address or zip code into it and it will direct you where you need to go.  Sounds wonderful, but that’s just what Garmin is.

Already Have A GPS Receiver Built-in?

If you are one of the lucky ones, you might already have the GPS receiver built into your smartphone but you don’t have GPS capabilites.  Here a quick and easy solution.  The Garmin Mobile XT is a card that you can pair with your smartphone and it will provide you with sat-nav directions.

Both of these devices provide 3-D images, and the directions will read out over your speaker phone.  And if you turn the wrong way, it will make sure you know it!  Garmin is always coming up with creative technology to make our lives better …. and it continues to get us to the places we need to go.
