iPhone 3G Debuts in Twenty More Countries

With the iPhone 3G currently available in only 25 countries, Mr. Jobs has some work to do if he wants to meet his goal of 70 iPhone 3G-filled countries by the end of 2008. Well, as of August 22nd, he should be about 20 countries closer. Below is the list of 16 nations (and carriers within those nations) in which the iPhone 3G is scheduled to debut two weeks from tomorrow (8.22.08), and word has it there are still four to be confirmed.

  • Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Peru and Uruguay on Telefonica
  • India on Bharti Airtel and Vodafone
  • The Czech Republic on O2
  • Estonia on EMT
  • Poland on Orange and Era
  • Romania on Orange
  • Philippines on Globe Telecom
  • Hungary on T-Mobile
  • Singapore on Singtel
