Jawbone Goes Wild (PG-13)

Friday, February 29th, 2008

The Jawbone Bluetooth headset has been a hot commodity since its first release in December of 2006.  Now Yves Behar, Jawbone creator, has released limited edition headsets that seem to be hotter than the original Jawbone.  Unlike the old cheese-grater, the limited edition Jawbone headsets have a sleek, stylish design.  There are three different headsets all with different themes … and this is where it gets wild.

 Limited Edition Names

I am still trying to figure out the names of the limited edition headsets.  While the name “Jawbone” is somewhat different itself, the limited edition names are just a little wild.  I think the product looks like a great and strong product and it is sure to be a hit within the world of Bluetooth.  I mean, if you want to get trashy, sweet and dirty all with one headset, no one will be stopping you this time around.

Apple Sets Goal for 10 Million iPhone’s in ‘08

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

Wow, 10 million phones is a lot to sell of one phone.  But Apple would be the company up to the challenge.  With the recent announcement of an event for the iPhone applications roadmap and software development kit, Apple keeps moving forward.

It might not be very hard for Apple to do either.   Apple is going to be competing with the established BlackBerry and Windows Mobile phone for corporate support, but with the recent announcement that the iPhone will launch in Ireland on March 14, Apple is sure to meet its goal.

Other Apple News

Although it has been a successful week for Apple so far (besides not releasing the SDK by its due date), there was one downfall.  Apple is in an ongoing battle over a “Caller-ID” patent on the iPhone.  Romek Figa, who claims to have patented a caller ID system infringed by the iPhone, is suing Apple and according to statements by Figa’s attorneys, Apple “refused to take a license on the terms offered.”  Either way, I think Apple will get through this issue without any bumps or bruises.
